It reminds me of what I told Bill May at the conclusion of the recent Fellowship of Catholic Scholars in Providence, Rhode Island. Even in his advancing years and his physical challenges notwithstanding, Dr. May continues to represent the heart and soul of the FCS. His contribution to the conference was marvelous. On departure, I told him that perhaps more than anyone I knew he represented the perfect combination of pugnacity and holiness.
