Father Dunstan Morrissey, a dear friend of many, many years; a man of God; a monk to the marrow of his bones -- laid his life in the Lord's hands this morning just before dawn, his life-long Lenten journey at an end just as we begin our annual one.

Gil, I was amazed to see this news yesterday.
I was in line at the store yesterday morning, and saw a man that reminded of Dunstan, and I thought about him for the first time in years, thought about how kind he was and how gentle and how much I loved him when I was a little girl. I cannot believe this happened to me on the day he died.
Rick reads your blog, and out of the blue last night, he said to me: "Did you know Dunstan Morrisey?" I almost fell off the couch -- I had been thinking about him all day.
God works in mysterious ways indeed.

I was blessed to work in the assisted living community where Father Dunstan lived out his final years. He was the most Godly man I've ever met.We lost an amazing friend last Wednesday. We all miss him. RIP Father
