Beauty -- Part I

On the run-up to the new year, here is Part I of British philosopher Roger Scruton's exploration of beauty and its decline.

What a beautiful series, Gil. And all True. I went to art school and by the end felt much like the student who secretly visited that sculptor in the last part 6. I didn't "get" "non-beauty". Not anymore.
Thank you for sharing this series. My middle brother, somewhat out of the blue told me he decided to go back to school...for art history. He's 46 and has worked in the supermarket meat department most of his adult life. He is divorced nearly 10 years now. This is not necessarily for a career change. He is taking one class at a time. To "fill that void" as was said in the film.
