The Inexorable Logic

If they are going to be terminated, it is a shame to waste their organs,” says an adviser to the Royal Society and the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority at a conference at the Oxford International Biomedical Center.

Gil,
It seems this later comment in the piece is even more frightening and telling.

"“I am sure very few of those on the transplant list would rather die than accept an organ from an aborted fetus,” he told the Daily Mail."

Will we now have to ask from whence came the cure in order to avoid becoming the beneficiaries of such things? Perhaps it is time for us to be willing to die "before our time" or rather, before the doctors are ready to let us go.

Have you ever considered that death is the inexorable logic that drives the entire Western "cultural" project and its lust for total power and control.

And that our entire "culture" is now saturated with death. And that we are now at the final, and most deadly phase of the INEXORABLE LOGIC that has driven this millenia long power drive.

And that our religions, especially Christianity, have nothing whatsoever to do with the Living God who is ALIVE as all beings and "things".

I agree with you in your comment that the "Western" Cultural Project is one of Death. This Project as it is reflected in the history of philosophy is something that is violently totalizing. seeking to consume and subsume the Other. In Response to this we get the Idea of true gift, something that is essential to Christianity. It is a free giving rather than the taking from the other. The other must give itself, we cannot take from it.

From this basic understanding we can see how the use of life from the aborted clearly does not fall under the category of gift.
